Fire Fighting Vehicles
The experience gained during numerous missions in many countries of the world has shown that mobile fire protection with special fire fighting vehicles is indispensable.
For the different hazardous areas e.g. at airports or in refineries special taylor-made fire fighting vehicles are available.
Being a manufacturer of fixed fire extinguishing installations and systems TOTAL also offers special fire fighting components which not only differ in sizes but most of all in conceptions and types. Based on many years of practice and on knowledge of the latest constructive and applicable methods in the area of the mobile fire protection TOTAL offers today:
Powder Extinguishing Systems
The standard chargeable extinguishing systems are operated with a standard pressure of 14 bar and are designed for an effective output of 150 – 4,000 kg. Larger installations are offered as twin-agent units.
Powder Extinguishing System HD
The powder extinguishing system HD (high pressure systems with 30 bar) for large scale operations are designed for an output of 1,000 to 6,000 kg. Systems with a larger capacity are offered as twin-agent units. These systems grant more security due to better throw ranges
and immediate readiness for action.
Carbon dioxide Extingushing System
Carbon dioxide extinguishing systems are known as being the cleanest and most residue free type of extinguishing system. They are employed in areas where pollution would have extensive consequences.
Foam Extinguishing Systems
Foam components and admixing systems are designed for various requirements Combination Extinguishing Systems. Combined extinguishing systems for operation with foam/ powder extinguishing agents together with other extinguishing media allow the fire fighting team to fight the fire in accordance to the prevailing conditions.
Annual Maintenance
To ensure a perfect functioning of the extinguishing systems TOTAL recommends an annual safety and technical examination with regard to the fire protection.
This examination should be conducted by TOTAL service engineers who are trained to perform the maintenance of extinguishing systems and are provided with professional tools and original spare parts thereby ensuring system’s permanent readiness for operation.
